How do I dress? Dress comfortably. While some wear their "Sunday best," most folks wear casual, comfortable clothes on Sunday morning. Wednesday nights, everyone is casual. Don't worry about what you wear--just come expecting a great experience!
What do I bring? If you have a Bible and a pen, go ahead & bring it with you. If not, don't worry...we have one for you!
What's in the Bulletin or Handout? Our greeters will give you a handout that we call our bulletin. Our goal is to provide you with the breakdown of our worship celebration, some info on our upcoming events, an outline to follow the message or sermon, and a listing of other ways to get connected with our church body. Within the handout, you'll find a green "Getting To Know You" paper... we would love for you to fill it out to help us get you connected in the best way possible with our church body!
Getting to the church? We are located at 2023 Wappoo Drive Charleston, SC 29412
When should I arrive? Bible Study - 9:45 am; Worship - 8:30 am and 11:00 am
Where do I park? Our parking lot closest to the children's wing is immediately on the left after the light of Maybank HWY & Wappoo Drive. For additional parking, remain on Wappoo Drive and take 1st left onto Plymouth Ave., and parking will be on the left.
Tell me about your Preschool & Children's Ministry?
Our Preschool & Children's Ministry is up & running for our 9:45 am Bible Study and our 11 am Worship Service.
We have a Child Protection Policy in place, and all of our workers have had background searches for your child's protection.
If you park in the 1st parking lot (see above), the glass doors in this lot lead to our Preschool & Children's Ministry. There are church members there that will show your children where they need to go, and church members who will show you where you need to go for Bible Study and Worship.

Tell me about your Students' Ministry?
Our Students'/Youth Ministry has a new youth pastor, Brent Gordon. Lots of changes are in the mix!
Youth rooms are located up the fire escape stairs in the 2nd parking lot off Wappoo Drive & Plymouth Avenue. You can also access the Youth rooms by going up the 2 sets of stairs inside by the sanctuary...there will be church members by the inside stairs who can show you where to go. We have classrooms for our small groups, a game room, and our worship room with the band's stage & video screen.
JIBC Youth meet on Sunday mornings at 9:45 am for Bible Study: initially as one group & then separate into middle & high school groups. Afterwards, they join the adults for 11 am worship in the sanctuary or help out with the Children's ministries. They meet in their worship room on Sunday night from 5-8 pm for music from the worship band, games, Brent teaching from God, and breaking into small groups to get to know each other better & digest Brent's lesson. Dinner is provided...just bring a couple $.
JIBC Youth also help out with the Children's Ministry's AWANAS on Wednesday night.
